“We were mainly looking for a solution to be able to track the backup documents that we get for invoices, checks, and anything we’re paying,” said Jeremy Langley, Enterprise Architect for Reily Foods Company.

For compliance purposes, Reily Foods Company was keen to find a document management solution that made following document retention processes easier. “We need to hold on to the backup documentation for those transactions for a certain amount of time,” Jeremy said. Reily Foods Company had some specific requirements around the document types it dealt with, particularly invoices and account statements. “They were fairly difficult to do with out-of-the-box functionality,” Jeremy said. For example, the company had a fragmented solution for label printing across its facilities, comprising multiple pieces of software and a wide range of label formats.
After discovering Lasernet, Reily Foods Company has been able to consolidate its workloads into a centralised place that controls all label printing across the entire organisation. “This has been a great relationship from the beginning,” Jeremy said. “One thing I was very impressed with was their passion for the software that they build, and it shows in the product. The attention to detail, the quality-of-life improvements in the software over base functionality in F&O is fantastic, and we’ve only scratched the surface of what the software could be capable of.”
Jeremy also emphasised Lasernet’s versatility. He said, “They have created something so generalised that you can use for it more than just document generation. It can work as a pipeline engine for a lot of different workloads.”
